The West: My Bicycle Loves You

The West Australian's David Zampatti has reviewed Legs on the Wall's My Bicycle Loves You:

Director Patrick Nolan, designer Anna Tregloan and video artist Mic Gruchy make sensational use of both archival and new material, with images appearing magically on screens, furniture and bodies, often in seamless duets with the live action. It's one of the challenges (and, perhaps, one of the problems) of this production to keep your eyes on the performers when there's so much fabulousness going on around them.

This vision splendid is greatly enhanced by some terrific, quirky music by composer Ben Walsh, played by a hot quartet. The music evokes our memories of the "soundtracks" of old silent films and the circus; it's hugely entertaining, vibrantly performed and deserved the applause that often greeted it.
