Andrew O'Hagan
(Scotland)

Andrew O’Hagan was born in Glasgow in 1968. His debut novel, Our Fathers, was shortlisted for the 1999 Man Booker Prize, and his second, Personality, won the 2003 James Tait Black Memorial Prize. In that same year Granta named him one of the Best Young British Novelists. He lives in London and has a young daughter.

Current title: The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of his friend Marilyn Monroe

The Octagon Theatre is an intimate thrust stage venue seating 658 to 758 patrons. The theatre was designed with advice from Sir Tyrone Guthrie, the founding director of Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Canada, and was based on the design of the Stratford Festival Theatre. The Octagon can be used for music, dance, drama, comedy and public lectures.

Transport 
Located at the University of WA Campus on Stirling Highway, and is serviced by buses on both Stirling Highway and Mounts Bay Road. There is a set down / pick up point behind the theatre suitable for cars, taxis, maxi taxis & small buses. Enter off Hackett Drive adjacent to University House.
