Andrew Shoben: ART:CITY Keynote
ART:CITY | Wesfarmers Arts

Andrew Shoben, founder of renowned artist collective greyworld, presents an illustrated excursion through some of greyworld’s significant and influential urban art projects.

Entitled 'greyworld: playing in the city', the talk focuses on the importance of creating spaces that offer people unexpected opportunities for communication in the urban realm. He shares his passion for a new public art that responds to and reflects the diversity of life lived in and around a public space - art that places the viewer at the centre of the creative experience, encouraging them to play with their environment and offering them a glimpse into another magical reality.

Greyworld is using its imaginative installations to transform the world's dreary urban areas. You've been warned: expect the unexpected. If an elevator starts playing show tunes or a water fountain compliments you on your outfit, don'’t freak out - it's only art. NEWSWEEK
