Lotterywest Festival Celebration: Les Girafes

A riotous, fun-filled animal operetta for all.

Get set for a hilarious family-friendly celebration as nine naughty giraffes, one distracted opera singer, an inept ringmaster and a contingent of clowns and acrobats put on the most chaotic street-theatre performance of the year.

Starting at the Perth Cultural Centre in Northbridge, this comedy of errors entertains and confounds as it winds its way through the City, mischievously disrupting street life.

Everyone's invited to follow the drama as inquisitive giraffes poke their noses into shopfronts and the action unfolds in a circus-like atmosphere of confetti explosions, fiery hoops and fantastic song.

Dynamic street arts collective Compagnie Off have performed around the world, from England to India. Their ‘secret’ ambition is to subtly change the contemporary life of every place in which they perform, while leaving a sense of joy and wonder behind.

Suitability: all ages
Themes: joy, celebration, wonder
